Having been elected to Council in 2007, I have stood up for the people of Overton Ward and had some great achievements on their behalf.

However, I fell in love with the scenery and the people of the Mitcham Hills, and I now live in Belair.

I'm now involved with the Blackwood Action Group and the Belair Community Centre, and I am as passionate about my new community as I am about my old stomping ground.

The challenges here in The Park Ward are vastly different to those in Melrose Park, Cumberland Park, or Daw Park. Here we live in constant fear of catastrophic bushfires. We are more skilful drivers, because the roads are steeper, curvier, and narrower. And we are accustomed to the screeching of freight trains several times a night.

I plan to continue to represent all people in the City of Mitcham, but particularly those in The Park Ward. It's a unique area and deserves special attention.
