2009: architect of the Climate Fund - a voluntary contribution for the environment to be paid alongside Council rates (still in progress)
2009: abolished fees for copies of Council documents under consultation
2008: instigated an annual programme of reviewing energy efficiency of Council's many buildings
2010: chair of the Mitcham West Activity Centre Subcommittee, which aims to improve Council services for residents west of Goodwood Road
2009: member of Blackwood Action Group since its inception
2008: commissioned a review of the design of the 'Welcome to Mitcham' signs
2009: organised for the boulders to be removed from the Sheoak Road chicanes
2010: supporter of the Cat control By-Law, to protect our sensitive wildlife from urban predators
2009: strong supporter of the Hills-Plains Urban Trail from Belair to Lynton
2007-2010: chair of the Community Development Grants Subcommttee, in charge of granting funds to many community groups
2008-2010: Strong supporter, advocate, and attendee of Rail Freight Committee
2009-2010: chair of the Mitcham West Activity Centre Subcommittee, tasked with creating a community facility west of Goodwood Rd
